About Burntside Lake Association - Ely, MN

The Burntside Lake Association (BLA), a non-profit organization, provides information and advocacy for the people owning property on Burntside lake.

The Association was incorporated in 1976 with the name "Burntside Property Owners Association". At the annual membership in August of 2013, the name "Burntside Lake Association" was adopted, and registered with the Secretary of State of Minnesota in 2014. The purpose of this web site is to provide occassional and general information of interest to our members and their guests.

Our Mission

Since 1976, our mission has been to protect and preserve Burntside Lake by promoting responsible stewardship, advancing water quality initiatives, and engaging our community in the care of this extraordinary resource.
